We have ten! Our oldest grandchild is twenty-four and our youngest is three.

I volunteer - at church, at school, in my community, etc. I play bridge in the winter and golf in the summer. I love the beach and so do my kids so I get to go to Hilton Head a lot.

Didn't we have a good time? I loved trying out for cheerleading - three times. Finally, Mrs. G said "Why not try the Drill Corps?" That only took two tries.

I remember... a lot of us getting to school early just to walk the halls and greet everybody...Alonzo Williams' U.S. History class when Jerry McGregor mastered the art of getting the teacher off track and keeping him there all period...Owen McDougal's UT dance step...measuring Carol Burnett's hair to see if it was high enough...Trudye winning all the dance contests, no matter who her partner was...Jean Coleman in the Senior Play.

I went to Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, graduating in 1967 with an English major and a teaching certificate. I was married in 1965 to Gearge Shaw and we moved to his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa. We had a lot of corporate moves in the 1970's and 1980's (6!)and finally got transferred to Louisville, Kentucky in 1985. I said if I ever got back to Kentucky, I'd never live anywhere else and I am staying put. Danny and I married in 1992, second time for both. We each have three children and now have ten grandchildren. Danny died in October, 2017, quite unexpectedly. We had a wonderful life and I was very blessed.
